We believe that our customers deserve variety as well as value and our grocery section boasts thousands of well know brands alongside our very own locally sourced alternatives. We believe in local business and so, where we can, we support suppliers and business in our town and area in age old tradition.

GROCERY
Our grocery departments thousand’s of brands at best value. We source and supply as locally as possible to provide you, the customer with both variety and peace of mind. Our “Big Offers” are promoted on a 3 weekly cycle and we produce a special offers leaflet that is distributed in the local area.
We understand that whilst it is important to offer our customers speciality products like fresh bread and gifts, we aim to provide the “everyday essentials” in a variety of brands and price levels. Crawford’s, giving you more of what you really need.
butchery
All our beef and lamb is guaranteed Northern Ireland produce. We select the finest cuts and mature them in-store for 28 days to ensure tenderness.
Every day we create our gourmet sausage range from standard pork and beef to curry flavoured and pork with caramelised onion. We have over a dozen varieties to pick from daily – so our customers really are spoilt for choice.
In season we’ve become famous for locally shot pheasants, partridge, duck and venison AND we also have a supply of Scottish grouse. We even cure our own bacon in-store!
Coffee Shop & Toby’s Soft Play
Our coffee shop on the first floor uses the best of local produce to create mouthwatering meals and tasty treats and locally roasted coffee which makes the perfect pause for any shopping trip, and a perfect place to enjoy lunch or a coffee while the kids play in Toby’s!.

BAkery
Two years ago we invested in a scratch bakery where we produce a wide range of fresh bread – French baguettes, crusty bread, scones, rolls, wheatens, pancakes and many more and that’s before we even touch on our irresistible range of cakes and pastries.

FRUIT & VEG
We select only the best and freshest produce 5 days a week from the local markets in Belfast, arriving at 5am to ensure we get the freshest deliveries from all around the world and of course the best that is locally available.
Our fruit and veg team have over 100 years combined experience. Our USP is held in our expertise of selecting the best product at the right time of year. We strive to champion only the freshest local produce in season. That means we avoid promoting out of season imported produce. When it comes to presentation we believe that quality and volume best sells fresh product so we create big visual displays of quality produce.
Our bedding plants are all sourced locally. Our flower displays definitely impress our customers all year round but especially during Christmas, Valentines and Mothers day.
In season our strawberries are grown just 3 miles from our store. Our scallions are delivered daily form a local farm 1 mile away and our loose mushrooms are delivered every day from a local grower all year round.
Last year we started our own pre-packing facility in order to deliver value through the supply chain to our customers. We now have a wide range of sliced diced and prepared vegetables and fruits for the convenience of our customers.
We contract 3 local farmers to produce 80% of our potato crop which we pack in store in our own bags which makes it absolutely clear to our consumers that they are locally grown. We now peel, chip and bag local potatoes on site which has been a big hit with our customers. We also boil and mash local spuds, turnip, carrots and parsnip. we then blast chill them – to sell ready prepared and ready to heat to make life easier for busy consumers.

FRESH FISH
We have a wide range of fresh fish delivered daily from local merchants, available from our flaked ice display – everything from fresh cod and salmon to kippers and monkfish. We also pre-pack a frozen range of exotics from swordfish to scallops! and juicy jumbo prawns.
READY MEALS
We have a full kitchen producing fresh salads, and coleslaws. all available in our self service salad bar or pre packed section.
We realise customers prefer to eat healthy and nutritious meals, but don’t always have the time to prepare them. That’s why we cook, blast chill and pack a range of delicious ready-made meals all prepared daily in our kitchen ranging from fresh soups to stuffing to full roast dinners. We have all the trimmings too, like vegetables, sauces and decadent desserts – always fresh and always convenient.
Hot food/deli
Succulent hot chickens roasted in our rotisserie daily are displayed with hot hams, stuffed sausages and other tasty savouries. Our deli serves local roast beef by the slice as well as local hams and continental favourites sliced fresh to order.
Newsagents
Our newsagents has pay point, lottery and of course homemade ice cream supplied by an award winning local family.
Never known to rest on our laurels we also provide colour photocopying, photo processing and an instore ATM.
TOYS
Crawford’s are known throughout the country for our enormous range of toys and party ideas on our first floor. As one of the founding members of Toymaster we have a very popular christmas club to help our customers budget for the festive season.

Our fresh flowers are specially selected for colour and fragrance. Our fine selection are specially prepared and displayed to welcome you at the entrance of the store. We have flowers for every occasion and season.
POST OFFICE
We have a fully equipped post office with expert staff advising on car tax, passports, financial products and of course postal services.
We first purchased Maghera Post Office in 2001 and intergrated it into our store shortly afterwards. It won best Post Office in Northern Ireland Neighbourhood Retailer of the year 2004. Now regularly recognised as one of Northern Irelands top performing post offices.
OFF LICENCE
It would be almost impossible not to find something to please your palate in our off licence with its range of over 600 wines, 100 spirits and 200 beers – all promoted in 3 weekly cycles ensuring value to our customers every single day.
Our off licence staff are trained to higher level by the wine and spirits education trust and are on hand to advise not only on our range of fine wines but also the right food to complement them.
